NYC's Next Sweet Food Hybrid? Astoria Coffee Shop Brews Up 'Donutccinos'
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Move over Cronut. New York's next sweet food hybrid is being made in Queens.
The new "donutccino" by Gossip Coffee in Astoria is a cold-brewed coffee drink with chocolate sauce and whipped cream topped with a mini donut and sprinkles.
It's the creation of former "MasterChef" contestant "Scottish" Francis. One barista told 1010 WINS' Samantha Liebman they've sold more than 100 since introducing it last week.
While too many calories for some customers, others saw it on social media and had to try it.
"It's good," one man said.
"It taste's like morning dessert," another woman said.
