7/18 CBS2 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines

We're in for some heat this afternoon as the mercury soars into the low to mid 90s. And when combined with the humidity, it will feel more like the mid to upper 90s -- stay cool!

We'll also see some storms later this afternoon and into the evening. And conditions look right for some strong to potentially severe storms (especially north and west), so keep that in mind if you're out and about.

After some leftover evening rumbles, things should quiet down through sunrise. Temps will fall into the mid to low 70s for early tomorrow morning.

High pressure will begin to work its way in tomorrow. And it won't be quiet as hot, but it won't be as humid either. Expect highs in the mid to upper 80s.

Wednesday may be our pick of the weak as high pressure finds itself nearly overhead. Expect abundant sunshine, low humidity, and highs in the low 80s.

As for Thursday, expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
