Nearly 12,000 NYC School Without COVID Testing Consent Forms Switched To Remote Learning

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Close to 12,000 New York City school students have been told to stay home and out of the classroom.

The city Department of Education says those students haven't handed in COVID-19 testing consent forms.

The mayor says the consent forms can help prevent outbreaks, and it allows for random testing of kids.

Those students will now go to remote learning fulltime.
