Parts Of Tri-State Area Face Another Day Of Heat And Humidity

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Parts of the Tri-State area are facing another day of heat and humidity.

A heat advisory is effect until 10 p.m. Tuesday in New York City while an excessive heat warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. for Mercer, Gloucester, Camden and northwest Burlington counties in New Jersey.

A heat advisory covers most of the rest of the Garden State.

In the city, forecasters say the heat and humidity will make it feel like it's between 95 and 100 degrees. In New Jersey, it could feel as high as 106 degrees in spots.

Some showers and thunderstorms may bring periods of relief.

Wednesday will continue to be warm with a high of 87 but forecasters say it will be breezy and somewhat less humid.
