Police: Woman Wanted For Stealing Wallets, Purses From NYC Nail Salons

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A woman has been stealing purses and wallets from nail salons across New York City, police said.

The suspect has struck 14 times since last September in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. She lifts the wallets or purses from cabinets, closets and desk drawers, police said.

She's gotten away with credit and debit cards, along with at least $500 in cash.

Police believe the suspect is in her 20s and said she often carries a large light colored purse or a large black purse with neon green straps.

They have released surveillance photos and video of the suspect.
