NYC Now Accepting Kindergarten Applications For Fall 2017
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York City has begun accepting kindergarten applications for the 2017-2018 school year.
Any child born in 2012 and living in New York city is eligible.
Parents can apply online by visiting schools.nyc.gov and visiting their application portal. Parents can also contact 718-935-2400 for enrollment by phone, or visit their local Family Welcome Center to sign up in person.
All applications must be in by Jan. 13, 2017. Application resources are also available in French, Haitian, Korean, Urdu, Chinese, Bengali and Arabic.
In 2015, families of almost 70,000 New York City kindergarten children applied for spots in their favorite schools.
