NYC DOT Cracking Down On Bus Lane Violators

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A crackdown begins Tuesday on bus lane violators in New York City.

The city's Department of Transportation has now activated cameras along the Woodhaven-Cross Bay Boulevard Select Bus Service in Queens.

Cameras enforcement has already been in place along 11 other bus routes, including along West 125th Street in Harlem. The DOT says the program will help reduce commute times for hundreds of thousands of bus riders each day.
