7/9 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good afternoon, folks! Another unsettled day around the region with showers and storms developing. The strongest will be west of the city where some more sun will break out. Eastern locations will battle with an onshore flow and clouds, so temps will hang in the 70s for most. A few storms could become severe and have brief heavy downpours.

The good news is a cold front sweeps through overnight and humidity will drop during the day tomorrow. Some scattered showers can't be ruled out, but we'll see more sunshine for the second half of the weekend. Highs on Sunday will top off in the low 80s.

Monday is looking fantastic with mostly sunny skies and temps in the 80s. This trend continues for Tuesday and Wednesday before the humidity and heat return late next week.

Not a washout today, but there will be scattered activity around. Have a good one!
