NY Woman Arrested After Allegedly Pointing Gun At Children
CIRCLEVILLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- An Orange County woman has been arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at three children while they were under her care, according to police.
State police say the 62-year-old woman, identified as "NFN" Michail, of Circleville, was attempting to teach the children -- a 6-year-old, a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old -- "some type of lesson," while holding the gun.
According to police, Michail also injured one of the children as she disciplined them.
Michail was arrested on Dec. 6. Police say an order of protection for the children has been requested.
Michail now faces several misdemeanor charges, including criminal possession of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child, assault and menacing.
The relationship between Michail and the children was not immediately clear. An investigation is ongoing.
Michail is expected in court on Dec. 13.
