NY State Senate Candidate Arrested On Grand Larceny Charge, Police Say

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A New York state Senate candidate faces a grand larceny charge, according to authorities.

Republican Jon Girodes was arrested at 19 Pitt St. at 11:45 a.m. Friday.

Police said he listed his Midtown apartment on Craigslist and received a deposit, but never followed through with the rental.

Girodes is running against incumbent Bill Perkins.
