Suspects Who Broke Into North Woodmere House On The Loose

NORTH WOODMERE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Some brazen, would-be burglars are on the loose in Nassau County.

Police said four thieves broke into a home in North Woodmere overnight as a family of four was sleeping upstairs.

A surveillance camera caught video of one of the suspects.

The homeowner heard rummaging and apparently scared them off.

Neighbors said they're worried they could be next.

"Oh my God," one neighbor said. "Wow, that scares me."

Another neighbor said, "I feel safe sleeping in my house at night, I feel safe pulling into the driveway at night."

The homeowner said the burglars used a brick to bust through a basement window to get inside.

Police are still investigating.
