No Winner In Wednesday's Powerball Drawing, Jackpot Soars To $360 Million

NEW YORK -- (CBSNewYork) -- Are you feeling lucky?

There was no winner in Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, so the jackpot for Saturday's drawing is $360 million, according to New York lottery officials.

The $35 million jump is due to fast sales across all 44 participating Powerball states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Although there was no jackpot winner, 124,000 winning tickets were sold in New York State -- the largest was a $20 million Power Play prize sold in Nassau County.

If there is no winner Saturday night, the jackpot will continue to grow.

Before this huge Powerball jackpot created a frenzy, a new multi-millionaire was recently crowned in New York.

Harold Diamond, 80, of Sullivan County, was the sole winner of a $326 million Mega Millions jackpot drawn on November 4, 2014 -- the biggest prize in New York history.

The largest Powerball jackpot to date was $590.5 million, won in Florida in May 2013.

Wednesday's winning numbers were: 24, 36, 51, 52, 56 and 22.
