No Injuries Following Fire On Roof Of Bayonne Medical Center

BAYONNE, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — A fire that broke out at a New Jersey hospital has forced some patients to move as a safety precaution.

The blaze began at CarePoint Health Bayonne Medical Center, at 29 East 29th St. in Bayonne late Friday night.

Investigators said construction equipment apparently caught fire on the roof of the building, CBS 2 reported.

It took firefighters about an hour to put out the fire.

Hospital staff moved some patients from the upper floors to the second and third floors of the 278-bed hospital as a precaution.
