Woman Struck By NJ TRANSIT Train In Ramsey, New Jersey

RAMSEY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- An NJ TRANSIT train struck a woman in Ramsey, New Jersey Friday afternoon, forcing officials to shut down service on a section of the Port Jervis line.

Around 3:30 p.m., the train struck the woman on the tracks, NJ TRANSIT told CBS2.

The woman's condition was not immediately available.

There were 500 passengers and crewmembers on the train at the time. None were injured, NJ TRANSIT said.

Port Jervis line was suspended between Waldwick and Suffern after the incident, NJ TRANSIT said.
