NJ TRANSIT Service Resumes Between Newark Penn And New York Penn Station
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- NJ TRANSIT service is running on or close to schedule again between Newark Penn and New York Penn Station after a person was struck by a train near Secaucus Friday morning.
Service was suspended for a time and riders were facing delays of up to 60 minutes during the morning rush. Midtown Direct trains were also diverted to Hoboken.
Train service between Newark Penn Station and Penn Station New York is now operating on or close to schedule with residual delays to trains already enroute following an earlier Amtrak trespasser fatality at Secaucus.
