NJ TRANSIT Northeast Corridor Line Halted After Report Of Person Struck

ELIZABETH, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- NJ TRANSIT trains on the Northeast Corridor line were halted late Monday, after reports that someone may have been struck.

The transit agency reported that trains on the line were suspended in both directions as of 7:48 p.m. due to a trespasser being struck near Elizabeth Station.

Information about the condition of the person struck and other details were not immediately available.

The PATH train system was honoring NJ TRANSIT rail tickets and passes at 33rd Street in Manhattan, as well as Newark Penn and Hoboken stations.

Systemwide cross-honoring was also in effect for rail customers on NJ TRANSIT buses and private carriers.
