NJ Transit Bus Hits, Kills Man In Newark

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) - Authorities say a New Jersey Transit bus struck and killed a man in Newark.

The Essex County Prosecutor's Office says 37-year-old Anthony Rivera was in the vicinity of Broad and Clinton Streets when he was hit around 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Rivera was pronounced dead at University Hospital.

No charges have been filed against the bus driver.

The investigation is ongoing.
