1 Dead In Wrong-Way Crash On I-80 In Saddle Brook

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- State Police say a car going the wrong way on Interstate 80 in New Jersey struck a truck head-on, killing a driver.

Trooper Alina Spies said the car, driven by 25-year-old Sean Hernandez of Haworth, was heading east in the westbound lanes when it hit the tractor-trailer in Saddle Brook early Wednesday.

Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are still trying to determine where Hernandez got onto the interstate, State Police Sgt. Jeff Flynn told WCBS 880's Levon Putney

The westbound lanes were closed for about four hours, but the car and the tractor-trailer have since been removed from the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
