NJ State Police Confirm Deadly Shooting On Route 80

LODI, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) - One person is confirmed dead and another person is hurt after a deadly shooting overnight in New Jersey.

The incident happened just after midnight on Route 80 in Lodi. New Jersey state police say troopers responded to the scene.

The Associated Press reported Louis Perez, 27, of the Bronx, was killed and a passenger in his car was injured, while a third person in the car escaped injury.

Two of the suspects — Douglas Coudrey, 22, of Eastport, New York, and Kenneth Regan, 21, of Centereach, New York, were arrested Jan. 22 in Long Island, New York, and face murder and attempted murder charges.
