NJ Authorities Caution Drug Users About Highly Lethal Brands Of Heroin

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- State police are cautioning drug users that there are three highly lethal brands of heroin on the streets of New Jersey that have claimed six lives.

Officials say the drugs are sold in the form of wax folds and are labeled Power Hour, Taliban and Strike Dead.

State police say some of the brands contain no heroin at all and some of the drugs will not respond to Narcan that is used to prevent fatal overdoses.

The information on the drugs was gathered through the state's drug monitoring initiative.
