Flight From Newark To Vancouver Diverted To Toronto
TORONTO (CBSNewYork) -- An Air Canada flight from Newark to Vancouver had to make an emergency landing in Toronto Friday evening.
Air Canada Flight 549, which took off Newark Liberty International Airport, was diverted and landed safely at Toronto Pearson International Airport at 8 p.m. after the aircraft became depressurized, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The plane was an Airbus A319, the FAA said.
Passenger Milun Tesovic tweeted a photo showing the plane cabin with oxygen masks out.

The flight was expected to make its way to Vancouver at 12:13 a.m. Eastern Time.
