2 Hospitalized After Jumping From Window To Escape House Fire In Newark

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Two people jumped out of a window to escape the smoke and flames during a house fire in Newark on Thursday.

The fire started around 7 p.m. on the top floor of a three-story house on Chadwick Avenue.

The two people were taken to a local hospital for treatment, and a total of 10 residents are now displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
