Islanders Send Top Prospect Ho-Sang To OHL After He Shows Up Late To Camp
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Talk about making a bad impression.
Josh Ho-Sang, a supremely talented-yet controversial prospect for the Islanders, was sent down to Niagara of the OHL on Friday after showing up late to the beginning of training camp.
According to Newsday, his camp is over.
Couple #Isles folks said Ho-Sang's behavior had been exemplary during week of rookie camp that preceded today. Same with camp in July.

A former first-round pick, the 19-year-old forward wasn't expected to make the Islanders' opening-night roster, but he is viewed as one of the organization's top prospects, along with defenseman Ryan Pulock and forward Michael Dal Colle. He earned rave reviews for his play at the club's rookie camp back in July.
The Isles were reportedly prepared to give Ho-Sang a serious look over the weekend.
Ho-Sang was also going to skate this weekend on the right side with Tavares and Lee. Clearly #Isles value him.

Ho-Sang was considered a top-10 talent when the Islanders selected him No. 28 overall in the 2014 Entry Draft. Many believe the reason he fell so far was because of his tendency to speak his mind and his displeasure with Hockey Canada for not selecting him for the country's World Junior Championship team.
Ho-Sang had 14 goals and 48 assists in 49 games for Niagara last season.
