New York Festival Of Light Kicks Off In DUMBO

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The imposing archway in the Manhattan Bridge anchorage in DUMBO, Brooklyn, has been transformed into a brilliant showcase of light.

The first ever New York Festival of Light began shortly after sundown Thursday, and was set to run through Saturday.

The festival features a collection of displays from renowned artists – including lighting designers, performance artist, and technologists. The displays are set up in the archway under the Manhattan Bridge near Anchorage Place and Water Street, and in the Pearl Street Triangle at Pearl and Water streets.

The festival also includes DJs performing under the archway, and an assortment of other performances.

The festival is free to the public, and appropriate for all ages.
