New York Family Reunites With FDNY Heroes Who Saved Son's Life

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- It was a day to remember for Brian Davis, not only because he celebrated his 7th birthday, but because he got a chance to meet the men who saved his life.

"These are my angels," he said.

FDNY members Paul Ardizzone, Jospeh Wylie, and Peter Santiago were among those who raced to Brian's home when he had an asthma attack.

His mother called 911.

"He started to crash a little bit," Wylie said.

"He had pretty much stopped breathing," Ardizzone added, "He was completely limp."

Brian doesn't remember the incident, or being saved, but he knows that the men are heroes.

"The fire truck man. He saved my life," Davis said.

It was Brian's mother's idea to have the men come to his party.

"She reached out and maybe five times she called and said he appreciates everything we've done, and she wants us to come to his birthday and hopefully this is something we could do every year," Santiago said.

Brian's mother has tried to thank everyone who responded to the call that day, CBS 2's Cindy Hsu reported.

"I am one happy mommy, and I am happy they're here and they're friends for life," Ragni Davis said.

She encourages other New Yorkers to thank first responders as well.
