New Westchester County D.A. Mimi Rocah Sworn In

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - Westchester County officially has a new district attorney.

Democrat Mimi Rocah asked her mentor, former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara, to administer the oath Monday morning in White Plains.

Rocah said during a challenging time, there's a unique opportunity to pursue reform of the criminal justice system, and that will be her focus.

The new DA spent more than a decade as a federal prosecutor.
