Toddler Falls From 2nd-Floor Window In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A 3-year-old boy was rushed to the hospital Wednesday morning after falling out of a second-floor window, police said.

The incident happened around 9:45 a.m. at 35-45 May St. in New Rochelle, police told CBS2.

"That thump was scary, to hear that deep thump," witness David Bryant said.

The boy's father took the child to Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital. The boy was then transferred to the children's unit at Westchester Medical Center, 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported.

His injuries do not appear life threatening.

Police said there are no safety bars on the window.
