War Veteran From New Jersey Credits Zumba For Survival After Combat

EMERSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- A war veteran injured in combat credits her survival to the exercise craze Zumba.

As CBS2's Emily Smith reported, Angelica Jimenez knows how to survive, whether teaching her Zumba class in Emerson, New Jersey or at war.

Marine Cpl. Jimenez nearly died in Afghanistan 10 years ago and credits her Zumba class at Carve Your Body Fitness for helping her keep her strength and putting a smile back on her face.

"It's very personal to me, but around this time of year it's very significant in my life, and I like to reflect on it," she said.
