New Jersey State Police Step Up Patrols Of Area Waterways

TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Memorial Day marks the start of the busy season for many law enforcement officers.

New Jersey State Police have stepped up patrols on the Hudson River.

As CBS2's Meg Baker reported, the troopers make sure boaters are being safe and ticket people who break the speed limit.

Troopers say the water is much like the highways on Memorial Day weekend, there's a lot of congestion.
