New Jersey Police Lure Escaped Pig With Dog Treats

WOOLWICH TOWNSHIP, N.J.  (CBSNewYork)-- Police officers were involved in a wild chase through the streets of one New Jersey town over the weekend.

Police officers in Woolwich Township spent most of Saturday morning trying to track down an escaped pig.

Once spotting the porker, they lured it back to the owner's yard with dog treats before securing it with a makeshift lasso.

They posed with the pig and posted pictures on Facebook, even allowing people to make pig, bacon and cop jokes in the comments section.
