Cops: NJ Store Clerk Dead In Parking Lot Shooting

MOUNT HOLLY, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A New Jersey convenience store clerk has died after being shot in the store's parking lot, according to officials.

Authorities said the suspected gunman entered a Willingboro Township Quick N Go store where Matthew Mwinsori, 32, worked, before going to the parking lot at around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Police responding to reports of shots fired soon found Mwinsori, of Willingboro, wounded in the nearby street.

Mwinsori was taken to Lourdes Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later, officials said.

NJ.com reported the suspect being described as being between 5'6" and 5'9" with a medium-to-heavy build. He was last seen wearing a black mask, a light-colored hoodie under a sweater or sweatshirt and red sneakers.

No arrests have been made and the motive is unclear, officials said.
