Nets Re-Sign Small Forward Alan Anderson To 2-Year Deal

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- There's no two ways about it. It's been a particularly rough offseason for Billy King and the Brooklyn Nets.

Jason Kidd is no longer the coach -- though Lionel Hollins is a solid replacement -- and the team has lost both Shaun Livingston and Paul Pierce to free agency.

There was finally some good news on Monday, however, as small forward Alan Anderson re-signed with the team.

According to ESPN, the 31-year-old will earn $2.6 million over two years. The contract includes a second-year player option.

Anderson averaged 7.2 points, 1.0 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 22.7 minutes for Brooklyn in 2013-2014. He appeared in 78 games and made 26 starts.

The signing has not yet been announced by the team.
