Nassau Police: Man Caught Stealing Computers From LI School

ELMONT, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island man was arrested for allegedly stealing computers from a school early Sunday morning.

Nassau County police said Curtis Patterson, of Rosedale, Queens, was spotted inside the Martin De Porres School in Elmont on surveillance camera by an employee at around 3:50 a.m.

The school employee called police and responding officers apprehended Patterson as he left the building, authorities said.

Officers recovered several computers from the school that had been placed into black plastic bags, authorities said.

Patterson, 47, was charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools.
