Police: Teens Missing From North Lawrence, Freeport In Unrelated Cases

NORTH LAWRENCE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Long Island were searching Sunday for two teens who vanished in unrelated cases.

Nassau County police said Natalie Stone, 14, was last seen leaving her home in North Lawrence around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Stone is described as a black female standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 115 pounds, and was last seen wearing a light blue sweater, light-colored jeans, and black high-top sneakers, police said.

Meanwhile, Joel Batista, 15, of Freeport, was last seen at his home around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

A clothing description and further information about Batista was not immediately available.

Anyone with information about either of the teens was asked to call the Nassau County police Missing Persons Squad at (516) 573-7347, or to call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
