I-78 Off-Ramp Closed In New Jersey After Syrup Truck Flips, Leaves Road Sticky
BLOOMSBURY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Pancakes anyone?
A ramp on Interstate 78 was shut down in Hunterdon County, New Jersey late Friday, after a truck spilled syrup all over the roadway.
The ramp from westbound I-78 to state Highway 173 in Bloomsbury late Friday afternoon, after the truck flipped over on and leaked syrup everywhere, New Jersey State Police said.
State police did not specify exactly what kind of syrup it was that spilled. But their tweets suggested that it was not cough syrup or ipecac syrup, but rather the tasty kind to be enjoyed with breakfast.

The ramp I-78 remained closed as of the 9 p.m. hour, and a prolonged cleanup was expected.
