N.J. Gas Prices Approaching Four-Year Low

LITTLE FERRY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - Some motorists are doing a double-take when filling up their tanks.

With gas prices approaching $2.50 a gallon in many places in New Jersey, the lowest prices in four years, 1010 WINS' John Montone paid a visit to the Lukoil gas station in Little Ferry to speak with drivers.

"It's awesome, can't beat that price right?" one motorist said.

"I can't believe it went down so fast. Because it's $2.54 and I don't think it's been like that in a while, so it's great," said another.

Sonny's Toyota Tundra is one thirsty pick-up, but it's saving its owner a nice chunk of change for now-- about $50 a week.

But as the prices continue to dip, Montone asks "what's next?" Gas price wars? Promotional giveaways?

And of course, there's always one person in the crowd that's not so optimistic. One man claims the government is manipulating prices and that they will spike very soon.
