Jason from Linden was more than excited to see $2.88 per gallon at the BJ's across from the refinery, saying it sometimes takes him almost $50 to full up his tank.

"Can't argue with that at all," he told WCBS 880's Jim Smith, "very happy with it actually."

Jason even said a family vacation is in the budget now that gas prices have dropped.

"We're going to cruise now because I've got to spend a bunch of money from not spending it on gas," he said.

Drivers are pleased to see the lower prices spreading across the state.

"It's great. Much better than it was when it was almost $4," another driver said.

But as Smith reported, some are wondering how long it will last.
