Murphy: Afghan Refugees Are Welcome In New Jersey, 'We're Honored To Do Our Part'
TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- As evacuations from Afghanistan continue, a plane carrying a group of refugees arrived at Dulles International Airport Monday.
The group's final destination is unclear, but Gov. Phil Murphy says some refugees would be welcomed in the Garden State.
"We are going to be getting, imminently, Afghan refugees that will be cycled through Dulles Airport in northern Virginia and then up to the joint base, and we're honored to do our part," Murphy said.

The base that Murphy referred to is Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst.
Murphy said on Twitter that New Jersey will do everything in its power to help these refugees rebuild their lives.

U.S. Northern Command tweeted Monday that a task force will be "provide the housing, medical, logistics, and transportation support" at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in Burlington County.
