Mumford & Sons To Bring 2-Day Music Festival To Seaside Heights

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- One of the Jersey shore towns hit hard by Superstorm Sandy is hosting a music festival.

Grammy-winning folk rockers Mumford & Sons announced Monday that Seaside Heights will be the first stop on their Gentlemen of the Road stopover tour.

The event will be held June 5 and 6.

Other bands scheduled to perform include The Flaming Lips, Alabama Shakes and Dawes.

"The Gentlemen of the Road Stopovers are all about live music," the band said in a statement. "We get to put them on in towns not normally frequented by touring bands in busses or splitter vans. We deliberately look for towns that have something unique, or some vibe of which they are proud, explore them and enjoy what they have to offer."

Tickets are set to go on sale 10 a.m. Friday through the Gentlemen of the Road website.

Other host towns include Waverly, Iowa, Walla Walla, Washington and and Salida, Colorado.

The band also announced May 4 as the release date for their third studio album, "Wilder Mind."
