Police: 2 People Sought After MTA Worker Punched In Brooklyn Subway Station
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man and a woman wanted in connection with the assault of a Metropolitan Transportation Authority worker earlier this month.
The 52-year-old victim first saw the couple arguing at the Bay Ridge Avenue station in Brooklyn on Sept. 15, police said.
The two then got into a verbal dispute with another MTA worker, police said.
The victim tried to intervene, telling the other MTA worker not to get involved and to call the police.
That's when the female suspect punched the victim in the head, police said.
The couple then fled.
The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
