MTA Unveils New Inclined Benches At Some Subway Stations

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The MTA has unveiled new benches in some subway stations.

The agency replaced the benches at the 23rd Street/6th Avenue F and M station this week.

Riders will now be able to sit or lean on the new inclined benches.

The MTA says the unusual type of seats are in an effort to prevent homeless individuals from lying on the benches.
