Dramatic Video Shows Eruption On Italy's Mount Etna

 

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Journalists and tourists got quite a scare while getting a close look at Italy's Mount Etna.

Europe's largest and most-active volcano suddenly erupted Thursday.

The explosion was caught on camera by a BBC crew.

Video show the group scrambling for cover as hot rocks and steam rains down on them.

At least 10 people hurt. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries.

One scientist said it's the most dangerous incident he'd ever seen in 30 years of studying volcanoes.
