LI Woman Killed In Drunken Motorcycle Crash

WEST ISLIP, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A Long Island man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a motorcycle crash that killed his wife.

The man, identified by Newsday as Michael Proctor, 26, was riding his 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle just after midnight Sunday on a highway in West Islip when he lost control.

His wife, Megan Proctor, 26, was a passenger on the bike and was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Hospital in West Islip, where she was pronounced dead. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
