52-Year-Old Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Long Island

COMMACK (CBSNewYork) -- A 52-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Long Island on Wednesday night.

Vincent Giovannantonio, 52, of Kings Park, was driving a 2006 Triumph motorcycle northbound on Indian Head Road at around 5 p.m. when he was struck by a 2003 Ford Taurus making a left turn from the southbound lane, authorities said.

Giovannantonio was taken to Southside Hospital, of Bay Shore, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

Fred Kleeman, the driver of the Taurus, was not injured.

Police say both vehicles were impounded, and will be inspected.

An investigation is ongoing.
