Montone On The Move: Moms Share Their Favorite Mother's Day Memories

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- This Sunday, May 8, is Mother's Day -- a time for families to get together and celebrate what it means to be a mom.

1010 WINS' John Montone asked local moms what their favorite memories of Mother's Day were.

"They made little plaques that said being a mother is the hardest and most beautiful job of all," one mom said.

Some moms recalled their children making them a Mother's Day breakfast -- complete with their own delightful touches. 

"Waking up, having a menus with all misspellings on it," one mom said, laughing.

Though being a mom can be tough, these mothers wouldn't trade it for the world.

"It's the best job in the whole wide world, it really is," another mother said. "It's very challenging -- on some days, you're like 'what am I doing?' But overall it's the best think I've ever done in my life."

"It's everything, it really is everything."
