'A Big Bully,' Neighbor Says Bronx Shooting Victim Was A Known Troublemaker

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A 24-year-old man was shot to death outside of a bodega in the Bronx on Monday.

There were words, a shove, and then a single shot. The 24-year-old victim was hit in the chest, and was later pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.

The shooting happened outside of a midblock deli on Union Ave in the Morrisania section around 3 p.m.

Curtis told 1010 WINS' Al Jones, the bodega is a known hangout for troublemakers.

"They hang with some of the people that do live around here, and they cause trouble for everybody. It's not right. You can't even walk down the block," he said.

Curtis said he knew the victim, and he's not a fan.

"Tough guy or wannabe tough guy, you know and a big bully," he said.

Curtis said the block will be better without him.
