Morris County, N.J. Teacher Charged With Child Pornography

MORRISTOWN, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- An elementary school teacher in Morris County, New Jersey has been hit with child pornography charges.

Morris County prosecutors said bail was set Monday at $50,000 cash for Nicholas Schumacher, 29, of Randolph, who teaches at an elementary school in Bloomfield.

Schumacher was charged with two counts of child endangerment for allegedly possessing and distributing child porn.

Authorities said the charge culminated an investigation that began when prosecutors received information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Prosecutors said Schumacher allegedly accessed the images and videos from computers at his home and workplace.

A telephone number for Schumacher could not be located Monday night.
