Missing 5-Year-Old New Jersey Girl, Mom Found Safe

PASSAIC, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — A 5-year-old New Jersey girl and her mother who have been missing for days have been found.

The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office said Cecilia Manzueta, 32, and her daughter, Valentina, were found safe Tuesday evening. No other details about their disappearance or where the two were found were provided.

On Friday, authorities said Natanael Manzueta called the Passaic Police Department to report that his wife and daughter were missing. The two were last seen at the Holiday Inn at 450 Route 1 & 9 South in Newark, authorities said.

Passaic police along with New Jersey State Police and the prosecutor's office Child Abduction Response Team investigated the case, which authorities say is still ongoing.
