Minor Injuries Reported After N.J. Transit Light Rail, Vehicle Collide In Jersey City

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - A New Jersey Transit light rail carrying 80 passengers collided with a car in Jersey City, N.J., Saturday afternoon, NJ Transit said.

New Jersey Transit says the driver of the car tried to dart out of the parking lot in order to beat the train.

Four people on board the train were reported to have minor injuries; three refused medical treatment and one person was treated at the scene.

The driver was cited for careless driving.
