LISTEN: Mike Francesa Explains How He Ended Up Ordering WrestleMania

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Who would've ever thought Mike Francesa would order WrestleMania?

The WFAN host admitted on his show Monday he bought the pay-per-view event, but it wasn't his idea.

Francesa said his two young sons approached him Sunday evening, asking if he would buy the event for them to watch. He told them to ask their mother if it was OK, assuming she would say no. But the plan backfired -- and next thing you know Francesa was calling his producer and wrestling die-hard, Brian Monzo, asking about how to order the event.

"I don't know where I went wrong, but I have to admit they were watching WrestleMania," Francesa said. "As sad a statement as that is, WrestleMania was on in my house last night."

Francesa watched a little bit himself. Click on the audio file above to hear what he had to say about it.
